1936 Born in Shiba Tomoe, Minato-ku, Tokyo
1955 Studied tea ceremony under his late father, Suisen
1958 Studied tea ceremony maki-e under Moriya Shōtei, a Hakusan-style tea ceremony master
1966 First prize winner at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, continued to enter and win in this exhibition every year.
1966 Succeeded to the name of Suiko II
1968 Received the first Bunka Lacquer Art Training
1978 Awarded the Sai-no-Kuni Excellent Skills Prize
2001 Awarded many prizes including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan and others.
He is a member of the Japan Cultural Properties Lacquer Art Association, a member of the Japan Crafts Association, a member of the Japan Art Crafts Association, and a member of the Sai-no-kuni Saitama Art Exhibition Management Committee.
